It used to be that when a new SU catalogue came out, the gallery would be FLOODED with samples of the new sets. This catty, and even last, there are so many EMPTY. I really miss the samples.
I know it's because of all the new independant stamp companies out there (it seems a new one opens every month) and all my fave stampers are on Design Teams for these small companies. It seems that there are less SU demos posting new samples of the NEW sets in the gallery.
Anyone notice this?
A lot of us don't have our new stuff yet. Mine is coming tomorrow . There are also a bunch of people waiting for SAB to start before they place their orders. But there does seem to be a decline in the SU galleries :(.
yes, I've noticed. I think there are several reasons.
1. some folks only post to their blogs or websites now and this includes SU demos. It is time consuming to upload to a variety of places.
2. It is still early in the catty period and I know my box has yet to arrive.
3. SCS is no longer an SU dominated site. The threads used to be flooded with almost entirely SU posts and your analysis is correct I think. The existence of design teams, member companies, ads from other companies, etc. has turned SCS into a stamper's buffet!
I suspect this is one reason why SU is now advertising here. It is so fun to see their ads here.
Oops, I hear the rumble of the UPS truck. Got to go!!!

I think the first post is correct....my new stuff comes tomorrow. I only placed a $150 order this time on Jan. 2nd, with the other $500 waiting for February
1st and free sets. I'm waiting even though I preordered all the SAB sets. Free rubber is FREE rubber...who can ever have enough!
Also don't forget that this is the first time the main catalog was released in January. I know my wallet is still recovering from Christmas, but I of course have a huge wishlist, LOL!
This may or mey not be known to the general public, but in the fall Stampin' Up! made a change in their shipping procedures which meant that next day and two day orders were no longer bumped to the front of the picking line. In the past demos paid extra to get their stuff super fast and immediately uploaded their creations to the gallery. Now even if we paid extra for expedited shipping there was no guarantee of our orders getting picked first, so fewer people paid for the fast shipping and, as a result, most of us are just getting our first orders now (mine is coming today). I would imagine there will be lots of new SU uploads this week!
I for one cannot wait to hear that UPS truck so I can start trimming, mounting and stamping with new stuff! Having just come back form Leadership I am totally pumped up and excited and I love Stampin' Up! more than ever!

Actually . . . Those are their Google banner ads; it just pops up at content relevant sites. Google has removed the little "feedback ads" line that used to appear under the banner ads, and now it only appears under the little text-based ads and that makes it tricky to tell if it's a direct ad, or a just a Google ad. SU! has not initiated any direct ad campaigns with SCS.

Oh. Wow, I totally misunderstood. Thanks for the clarification! I liked it better the old way when you could tell who was directly supporting SCS.

I think it's a little different with this catalog because it's right after Christmas and SAB is right around the corner. I am waiting to place my order on Feb. 1 to get the SAB sets.

Ha Ha! The money tree comes from returning almost everything my husband got me for Christmas. 25 years in and he still has no clue as to what I want! He tries though....poor thing.

I'm just a customer ;) and my order came fast! I only ordered two sets though, holding out for SAB - I wish SAB was in January.
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I just ordered a couple of sets-waiting for SAB but I did upload them as always.
Make sure you put in the keyword SS08- many stampers are doing this so we can see the new Spring Summer stuff without wading through the other gallery cards!

OK gals--here's her secret! Maybe if we all order this much, we could make our cards look like hers!!! (Only in my dreams!!)

Yeah, Faith, spill the beans! LOL!
I do not understand how "expedited" orders work...you pay through the nose but your order, which SHOULD come faster, hence the "expedited", does not...
My order is coming tomorrow also. Methinks the gallery will be busy tomottow afternoon!
