Welcome to the NEW challenge - ScrapBook Variety Challenge
I am so excited to be changing the direction of this challenge. The Sub-Forum name will be changed, but the past theme challenges will stay here just in case you want to revisit them.
For this challenge, you will need to make an altered CD. It's a great way to use those junk CD's you get in the mail. If you don't have one or you don't want to put one on your layout, feel free to use a CD as a pattern and make a faux CD from card stock. I covered mine to resemble a pumpkin, but there are lots of possibilities - titles, pictures, subtitles, covered with pp, tags etc.
Very cool idea, love your sample!!!
...another idea for a CD is Target. At he front of the store you can usually find those free AOL CD's we don't want anyway!
so glad you like it ladies. hope you will give it a try. eveytime I look at a CD now I see other possibilties - big bugs, Christmas bulbs, flowers, base for stamped images - see my wheels keep turning!
Great sample page! I love the cd idea too, I will have to give that a try. A variety challenge seems like a better name for what we do, plus gives more options! Good thinking, Peggy!

First of all, thank you Peggy for the inspiration. I have been wanting to figure out a way to not only scrapbook Gaven's, my nephew, christmas pics but also a way to display them as ornaments every year. The CDs were the perfect medium! As you'll read in my description, I plan to bring them out during Christmas and then put them back in their albums respectively after Christmas. Anyway, this was sooo fun! He just turned two so I only had to make two ornaments, but you can bet this will be an ongoing project for me!

Everyone is doing a great job. These altered CD ornaments are great ideas ladies! I almost have my page complete. Just have to pick up some yarn tomorrow for the finishing touches!
Whoo-hooo...made one more ornament. I had to run and buy a crop-a-dile after seeing how nice the eyelets look in Carolina's ornaments. Wow...that thing cuts it like nuthin'...Thanks for the wonderful challenge, Peggy! Fruitcake Christmas Ornament by slprunning at Splitcoaststampers

I did something a bit different for this, and I'm not real sure about how I like it on the page I did...but the technique is kinda neat, and I'll be experimenting with it some more as soon as I get some more CDs! ;)
Thanks Peggy for making me try something new!!!
