Default Sizzix ????

Have any of you seen the commercial airing on HGTV about the Sizzix machine with the dies, paper and a book for $49? I didnt catch the 1-800 number and thought that I would go online to the HGTV Store they say to look in. But I cant find it anywhere. Do any of you have the phone number or the link to the item? I told DH I wanted this for Mothers Day.

Thanks

I don't know the number but remember seeing the commercial. After seeing it I looked up the regular prices of the items and think that you could get the items cheaper with a Michael/ACMoore/JoAnn's coupons... that is if you have any of those stores near you... Good luck!

You think its cheaper to get all of the things they advertise elsewhere? The Sizzix machine, dies, paper and a book? I thought that was a petty good deal for $49. But I have just started to get into scrapbooking so what do I know.

The ad I saw was for the SideKick, not the actual big Sixxiz machine, but I thought it was a good deal, unless you had multiple coupons for Michael's. Because at our Michael's, the sidekick itself is around $45.00 and the dies run $19.95 for four (they come in a set of four for the sizzlets - what you use in the Sidekick). I don't know what the book is though?

Right, it is the machine that you use the sizzlets in not the big one.

Did you know sizzix.com has specials every Tuesday. They almost always have a Sizzlets alphabet for 40-45% off. Today Girlz are Weird is $89.99. I got Rat-a-Tat for less than I could get it at Mikes or JoAnns with a coupon. UPS is delivering the Window and Frame Making I ordered a couple of weeks ago for the same price. I have a tickler on my calendar to check out the web site every Tuesday.

I saw the commercial and went to the HGTV store online as well. Right above the main graphic, there is a search bar. I searched for "sidekick" and it brought up several options. One was the $49 package - the sizzix sidekick, 2 dies, paper, 2 cutting mats and a bonus book. OR I saw what I think is a better deal for $59 - it includes all of that plus 2 more die packages (reg. $15)...so you get it all plus the extra dies for an extra $10. I think I'm going to get it. I believe the commercial said free shipping, too, right? I think the package deal is better than you can find at the craft store with your coupon. (I THINK) What do you think?

Here is a link from the sizzix site - a picture of the starter kit that comes in the shopathometv special; I believe those are the dies that are included.

You are most welcome. And by the way, did you see that there is another set that comes with the love and flowers dies instead of the love and wedding dies?

I am ordering this one!

Kimberly,
I just tried calling and ordering. I asked the girl for the discount you mentioned, but she said I needed a specific code. The 2 sets that come with the extra dies (the $59 sets) don't automatically come with free shipping. The smaller $49 set does. Do you have a specific code?

Thanks!

I saw the commercial and went ahead and ordered it. For 49.96, I got:

the sidekick, two plastic plates, 10 dies (misc hearts and flowers), a few strips of paper, and a book. They sent it fed ex which arrived on Saturday! It was very quick - received within a few days. I'm very happy with it!

The sidekick/plates/2 flower dies/paper came together boxed up and then there were two separate sets of dies (4 each) of flowers and hearts

I debated whether or not to get it this way or via michaels/joann's with coupons, but I figured it was cheaper, plus I didn't have to pay shipping or tax either. Also, I didn't have to drive around to the store with the kids in tow.

LOL, I can't believe I ordered that! I've been flipping and flopping for ages over it... and had a run-in with my 2yo (she dumped two BRAND NEW containers of Gerber baby snacks, which are not cheap(!) onto the floor!!!).

Retail therapy strikes again! Good thing I'm selling half of my soul on ebay at the moment so I can pay for it! That was gonna be for more stamps, but oh well! LOL! I'll have to find more stuff to hawk on the 'bay now!

glad I could help, Vanessa!

For anyone else, the phone # that was on the ad on tv is 1-800-913-0773. The link I posted above is for the special that they were advertising on tv. I noticed that the other links posted before mine were different specials, not the one advertising on tv.

FYI - www.scrapbook101.com is running an awesome deal on this right now for $24.99.

http://www.scrapbook101.com/productl...g/sidekick.htm

Plus, if you go to www.Sizzix.com - you can buy the new adaper for the sidekick and use Quickut dies in your machine.
