I may use my stockpile on cards that I know are going directly in file 13 but for the most part I'm ordering SU.
I ran out of black and so did my demo. I went to 3 different places and their black was dull and not pretty at all compared to SU.
I never realized until I held them side by side. The last place I went after she heard me grumbling to myself the lady told me "honey ,black is black". I had her walk outside with her paper and showed her the difference. She wasn't quite as snotty after that.
Just wanted to give a high 5 to the SU paper.

:-) You betcha. The red cardstock alone is heads and tails above the rest...I like the black too since my DH's cool musician scrapbook has to have a lot of black pages!
I love SU cardstock!!! And it is much cheaper than the stuff at my LSS. Michaels has cheaper stuff. but it is not as smooth and therefore, your stamped images do not show up nearly as nice. I love SU!!!!!
The SU! Ultra Smooth white is much better than the white I was using, too. I stamped an image on both and the one on the CS I was using was splotchy looking (previously I had thought it was because I was using a solid stamp), but when I stamped on the SU! it was nice and smooth without any white splotches. Then I tried an outline stamp and the image was much sharper. I now have some SU! white on order. The difference is amazing!
Absolutely... the black... the red... all the colors!!! And the Ultra Smooth white and vanilla are the best for stamping clear crisp images!!!! Love it!!!
Oh yeah! I tired to duplicate the red for my christmas cards when I ran out a coupla years ago - noone makes the same!!! SU! rocks for paper quality and colors!!!

That woman is clearly not a 'serious' paper crafter -- you sure showed her!
When my Earth Elements assortment ran out I bought some black CS from a scrapbooking store near the office where I worked. Once I finally ordered a full pack of Basic Black I compared the two, and it was like holding up a new black garment next to one that's been washed several times!

I love SU cardstock also and that is all I mainly use. But I do like the Bazzill paper for its cool texture. I know the canvas BS makes it sort of like it, but I like the texture feeling with the look. Now if SU came out with paper like that, I would be in heaven.
I used some white cardstock from Michaels on a card the other day. I showed it to my husband and he said "You used cheap paper didn't you?" He told me not to use the cheap kind anymore! You know what that means -- he can not complain next time I spend money on paper What a great hubby! He KNOWS that SU makes the best paper for stamping.....

I recently went to a fundraiser that used contraband paper, and after a year of using only SU cs, WOW was I surprised! How cheap other cs feels and looks! No wonder some people don't like getting handmade cards!

The other day I was trying versamark-pearl-ex on a generic black cs. I wasn't quite impressed as they were quite dull. I was about to give up when I thought I'd try the same on SU black and then again I was thinking - Hey "black is black" right? Thatz what I thought until I tried the exact same thing on a SU black. The results were shocking. Pearl-ex was brilliant on SU black.
I know it sounds crazy but I wudn't hv believed if I didn't try it myself.
So, 3 cheers to SU!

I have to agree that SU has really awesome paper. I was a Bazzill snob for a long, long time. I have tons of the stuff. Lately, though, I've been using SU paper to coordinate with the cards etc that I have been making. Then I needed some dark blue paper for a card, and I didn't have any SU paper that was dark blue, so I used some Bazzill paper. It felt down right flimsy in comparison to SU. MUCH thinner than SU. The card still turned out very pretty, but it shocked me that I'd never noticed what a huge difference it is. I haven't done any dry embossing on SU paper yet, but I bet it turns out awesome with it being such thick paper.
I like the SU paper, but recently found the Bazzil paper. It is beautiful! What does everyone think????

Absolutely love Bazzil paper. Their colours are yummy. SU paper is fabulous, but there is lots of amazing paper available. We have a few paper boutiques around and my pulse races whenever I visit them. No limiting myself to just one company -- I want it all!
