Important Notes
We need at least 10 people to make this a go. We are capping the number of attendees at 20 so that theres adequate room for everyone to participate and still be comfortable. Your registration is considered complete when I have received payment.
About the Shoebox Swap
Please prepare make and take type projects. Well let you know the final number the first week in April so that you know how many to prepare for. Shoebox swaps are NOT required but they are a lot of fun, so please participate! Your RSVP should include whether you will participate in the shoebox swap.
Guidelines
Your shoebox swaps should be nearly identical. Include a sample card for the rest of us to follow, and all supplies necessary to complete it. Things to consider: do certain elements require dry time? Stamps to be cleaned? Etc? You may substitute colors if you do not have enough to complete a project. (For example, half the cards are blue and half the cards are green thats fine by us!) Stampin Up! products are NOT required for this event, but we do ask that you use quality materials.
Each person will provide their own adhesive for themselves you are not expected to supply adhesive for others to use, unless your project requires something special (2way glue, glue dots, etc.)
Non-card projects are fine, too, as long as they can be completed within a reasonable time frame. We will be running timers to make the even go smoothly. J
Meals
Meals will be on your own. If we fill the room, we will have a little bit of money left, and will provide snacks. Well keep you informed of this closer to the date. If we dont have enough participants/registration money to cover snacks, well ask everyone to consider bringing a little something to share.
The hotel will provide coffee and water to us; beverage machines are available just outside the conference room doors. You are welcome to bring in your own beverages, too.
The Comfort Inn is connected to the Old Chicago restaurant, which makes a great lunch or dinner option. Other restaurants such as Granite City, Perkins, Applebees, Timberlodge, and IHOP (among others!) are very close by, as are a few coffee shops (for breakfast!)
About the Field Trip
We thought wed escort anyone who is interested to the great crafting stores in town, so weve set aside some time to do this. You are not required to participate. If you want to stay in the conference room and continue stamping/scrapping, thats certainly fine.
Anymore questions? Im sure theres something Im forgetting! LOL so please, post it here, and well answer any questions you might have. (Some of the details regarding snacks, etc, we wont know until we know what kind of response we receive, so be sure to check this thread often for further announcements.)
Alright, WHO IS IN!!!!! This is going to be FUN FUN FUN!!!!
I'll add your name here when I receive your RSVP. Your info will be changed to red once I have received payment.
ETA: Not sure why I can't get this to space properly... but the YES means that you are signed up for the shoebox swap. I'll change the color to red when I've received your payment.
I'm checking with my girlfriend to see if she wants to go with me.....if she doesn't, I might come down by myself to have fun with everyone else. I'll keep in touch.

Make sure you let me know whether or not you are doing the shoebox swap. It's OK to say 'maybe' if you are undecided... but I just want to make sure that part doesn't get overlooked.
I think this would be fun sign me up , but can you explain the shoe box swap.
Is it a real shoe box? But I would probably do that too. Let me know. Thanks
A shoe box swap is just another term for make and takes. The idea is that you use a shoe box (or whatever box fits) to carry all the supplies necessary to make your cards. So basically you would be cutting all the paper necessary to complete your very own make and take, along with supplying the ink and stamps and whatever other materials are necessary to complete your projects. I'll see if I can find a picture to show you.
If you ever notice that you can't send me a PM because my box is full.... let me know on this thread. LOL. I have serious hoarding issues with my PMs, and it's bound to happen, like it did tonight. I've cleared out a few, so there's room again.
Denise, you got this so organized, a shoebox swap, what fun. I would love to do a shoebox swap, and do you need to know what we plan, I want to really
think on that first. I don't do paypal either, so can you email me your address, and I will send the information then also You kept the cost so reasonable, what an extra benefit, more to spend shopping. thanks for all the hard work Carolyn
BTT
I was going to mail my payment today, but alas the weather is keeping me from strolling 1/10 of a mile to the mailbox. Maybe Fri but definately in the mail on Sat.

Oh, I can't take all the credit! There've been a few of us talking 'behind the scenes' to make the decisions, etc. I'm just the one who ended up reserving the room on my credit card, so it was easiest for me to take the payment from everyone! But there are others - namely, Michelle and Kristy, who have helped too! Reveal yourselves, ladies!
I am so glad that I got a spot..this sounds like so much fun. I am an orphan in Cokato who doesnt get out much....does it show? Anxious to meet you all and stamp my heart out.
Til April,
Katherine
