Making Memories Ribbon Glue - best stuff I've ever used - I use it *all* the time. I found it at my LSS but you could prolly find it in any online stamping/scrapbooking store.
I use the Tombo adhesive in the little green and white bottle for EVERYTHING - this stuff is amazing...

Really? I love my mono multi, but I had it bleed thru (some of the chocolate chip designer paper from Spring Flowers on mellow moss grosgrain). Maybe I did something different????
Anyway, not to hijack the OP, I have used various tape runners to glue ribbon down, and my favorite ribbon glue is Fabritac. Usually, though, I just wrap ribbon around a layer and tie it there. I found as a newbie stamper that I was trying too hard with my ribbon. I wanted every inch glued down. But then I had a hard time getting it perfectly straight--there were kinda waves in the line. :-) Now I just use one or two dots of whatever adhesive to make the "high" points lie down.
Ditto on the Duck brand glue (cheapest in the four packs at Walmart for $8.8. I never craft without it! It's almost always the perfect width for ribbon, too!
I use the SU! liquid glue ... just use the pointy side and run it down the length of the ribbon. Then, adhere to the paper. It does have to dry though, as it is a litle slippery!

I normally use either the snail adhesive or Mono adhesive to run the ribbon length across the card, but when it comes to adhering the ribbon bows on top... Crystal Effects! One drop will do ya. It dries fast and IMO, holds stronger. In fact, I started using it for buttons, etc as well.
I wrap the ends of the ribbon around back of the layer and tape with one-sided tape. Then I tie a not or a bow around that strip. Does that make sense? I usually do card fronts that I adhere to a folded card so it hides the back of the layer with the tape and rough ribbon edges.
I use glue dots. Just one on each end if I am wrapping around a mat then covering with card (I do lots of layers!). Or I hide it with glue dots under a smaller matted image on the card front. Hope that makes sense.
I use scotch tape, works great. Here is a tip: I found the one sided pop-up tape dispenser works great. It's has a band so you can put it around your wrist and you can pull out one piece of tape at a time and still have your hands free. I absolutely love it.
Here is a picture of what I am talking about. http://www.hectorshardware.biz/shop/...003&sku=974579&
I use the two way glue pen. It works great! I just use a ruler then "draw" my ribbon line with the glue. You need to let it dry a bit, though, so it won't bleed through the ribbon. Works like a charm. I even use it when I tie a bow. The glue holds the ribbon in place and makes the job so much easier.

I usually use regular glue runner, but I just did a card with the metalic ribbon from last year's holiday mini. Regular glue runner didn't hold, ribbon kept popping off, so I used sticky strip. That ribbon's not goin' anywhere!
I just love the sticky strip for this. It keeps the ribbon from sagging and is so easy to use. Which department at Walmart would have the Duck brand glue?
If I am running ribbon across the front of a card, I use a single layer of cardstock, lay the ribbon down, put the cardstock over it, and put a dab of mono adhesive on the back of the cardstock where the ribbon will wrap around. Then I run the mono to adhere the cardstock to the next layer down.
If I am tying a knot, I cut two pieces of ribbon, begin tying a knot with one, pull the other piece through and tighten the knot. Adhere the ends of the ribbon around the cardstock, and it is exactly the right tension.
I use the glue dots to adhere my ribbon to most projects. I do use the stick strip if I'm doing a tin lunch box or something that needs to be stuck there 'forever'. I love the mini glue dots, though. I buy 2-3 boxes at a time!

I LOVE glue lines when I want to glue ribbon in place. It's made by the same company as the glue dots, but it's a thin line instead. I used to place mini glue dots on my project and then add the ribbon, but I now prefer the glue lines because you get an even finish, whereas with the glue dots, sometimes you could see little bumps under the ribbon where the glue dots were.
I usually wrap my ribbon around a piece of cardstock and then tape it to the back with tape. If I don't wrap it around then I would use mini glue dots.
I usually just use mono and it stays just fine...I also cut a litte extra to tuck around to the other side if it on a layer so that stays in place with the pressure. I also hear that the xyron is awesome for attatching ribbons...although I haven't even used my x or 900 yet....had them almost a year....too much other stuff to play with I guess.
