Happy 4th of July to all the Splitcoasters celebrating today.
While we're not all celebrating the stars and stripes, we can all join in the fun here in the WTUI challenge by focussing on the stripes...
You can use striped paper, use stencils, paint stripes, or even run with striped animals if that's what takes your fancy.
A couple of techniques I can suggest are the herringbone background tutorial, found HERE.
and TLC363, Make Your Own Stripes, which you can find HERE. This was a fun challenge from Joan, and one I've used a few times since.
When you've finished with your striped creation, upload it with the keyword WT747, and then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card, and is especially helpful if there are any site issues.
If you're not sure how to add a link, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one for your card in the gallery, and one for this thread
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
And as always, thanks to my fellow team-mates for their great inspiring samples: Lisa and Carla used some great striped papers.
Sabrina stripes are great, as you can see I have a few stripes, but also a trumpet for the band!! Great challenge!

I found this card base last night in my stash and knew it had to be my inspiration for the Sketch challenge - then I woke up this morning to find out that the "Ways to Use it" challenge was stripes. No way I could pass on a double challenge. TFL!
Hey, it looks just fine to me, you may want to edit your upload and squeak the keyword for the challenge into it. ( a lot of people leave love in the gallery by clicking on that and going from card to card for a challenge they played in that way)
Sabrina- thanks for the wonderful challenge! I used the herringbone technique, clamping down my layers with a wood grain embossing folder. I employed repurposed card stock and a prior card's central panel. Finished with a pretty butterfly from my stamping friends and a simple ribbon border. Here's life's stripes

Thanks, Sabrina. I incorporated your challenge for a card I needed ASAP. Strips of scraps and a striped gel print led to this WT747 Organic Townhouses.

Used this challenge to add an interesting background for my card for the FS challenge this week- kept my central panel clean with 2 buttons for my embellies. Here's the card that inspired it- Birthday Boy and here's Two pitchers
