Be sure to use the keyword C4AC27 so that we can check out your card and comment! To see this months gallery C4AC27 click here.
Fellow SCSer's, thank you for spreading your SCS love! Please feel free to mail your cards all throughout the month of March!

Hi everyone!
I just want to give a quick update on the type of cards that Missy is in currently in need of. Get well and thinking of you for hospital visits, Birthday, Sympathy and some wedding cards. They need all the other cards listed but this is the more immediate need!
I want to give you some background on Missy also. Missy has been a Flight nurse for over 18 years. After waiting 50 years for her Prince Charming to come along, he finally did come along and they were married 1 year ago! For safety reasons Missy has grounded herself and is now working in the cardiac unit. Missy and her hubby are very involved in church and their community in general. They do hospital visits and look out for the older folks in their neighborhood. One of the people they look out for is Rita, our hospice volunteer from last months cause! Missy found out about cards for a cause from Rita after seeing the beautiful cards that were coming in for the Hospice. So she asked if we could help her and the women's guild at St Joseph's.
I was so happy to be able to refer them as they do so much for both church and community. And I love the fact that they look after Rita!!

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your kind comments. I just want you all to know that each and everyone of you that share your time and talents are the ones that keep this project going each month. Thank you all for touching so many lives in this special way!
Have really enjoyed making cards for deployed military but that all ends this August. Expect that many of us Displaced Persons are/will be looking for another outlet for our cards. Thanks to UnderstandBlue for a well-timed push in your direction.
Will be happy to send some cards to Missy here in Florida but have a (maybe silly) question. Does the church want appropriate sentiments inside the cards or do they wish to write something personal themselves?
Are there any guidelines for Cards for a Cause that newbies should know? Would be grateful for your direction.

I found out this week that I can't stamp without a reason. I have one now. It's been raining forever. I got out the Big Shot to remember what it does. I watercolored a little. I am ready to finally make some cards. Dug through a bazillion stamp sets and found sympathy, but you really only need the words. Quite a few sets will work for cards and I think I can use the die cuts, ribbon etc too! I'm excited.

Hi Carolyn, an appropriate sentiment stamped inside is fine as long as there is somewhere that a hand written note can be added. Welcome to CAS!

Thank you for such a cordial welcome and answers to my questions. It's easier for me to create knowing the parameters on the receiving end. Also have to crank my head around from 85% masculine-tone based to something softer. Should be lots of fun!
Must finish quite a few OWH projects before I start changing gears from military to civilian needs. It's really comforting to know just where I'm going next. Your kind welcome sealed the deal!
I am wondering if the cards are only for adults or do you need some children's cards also. Am happy to send cards since I love making them but end up with no place to send them to. Jean
Pam, your cards have arrived! Missy said they are beautiful and she has used a bunch of them already. Thank you so much!
Awww TY for letting me know, totally sweet of her! I am so glad they like/can use my cards - it made my day to know that the cards I made are going to GREAT CAUSE!

Jean, I am sure the church sends cards to children from time to time, so all age styles are welcome!
