Can you believe this is our 4th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009, 2010 & 2011 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2012! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2012! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2012 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 4 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc12may"[/COLOR]

Looking for freebies? The May 2012 Blogtrain Blog is here! 100 or so designers offer color-coordinated freebies. Go to the Blogtrain Blog site for a full list of designers.
There's another freebie May 2012 blogtrain with a different theme and colors--go to the "Stuff to Scrap" site for a list of the blogtrain designers participating.
I've attached a sample showing the color palettes of both.
I've collected many great freebies on these trains and familiarized myself with some designers I like. Not all of the goodies are for everyone, but it's definitely worth a look!!!
I can't believe May is here already! I haven't posted a goal for about 6 months and am going to skip this month too :(. I only have 3 done for the year and a few ready to work on when I get the time. The bad thing is this month is C.R.A.Z.Y! The good thing is the girls are done school on May 30! I'm in my craft room now to organize some purchases (I seem to buy more when I don't have time to scrap...go figure ;-))...at least it's a step in the right direction. :-)
Thanks Wendy! I think I'll be doing some digi scrapping this summer. DD2 is on a traveling Lacrosse team and I'm hoping to get some pages done then.
...the link didn't work for me but I did figure it out by a search... The Blog Train Blog...I thought I'd repost the link from my computer in case anyone else has trouble but it may just be me :-)

Going to put down 10 for myself. I still have some things organized from the retreat I went to, so maybe I'll be inspired AND have mojo at the same time.

I went over my published goal for last month but still have not caught up for the year. I think I will put down 15 for this month as I am going to a 4 day crop starting on Thursday. I had better work on getting ready for that.
Scrappers!!! Nat'l Scrapbook Day/Weekend & Print Sale
Scrappers! Don't forget this weekend is National Scrapbook Day. The 5th is the "official" day, but all weekend lots of digi-sites will be having great sales, freebies and prizes.
Also Persnickety Prints will be having their semi-annual sale on 12x12, 8 1/2 x11 & 8x8 pages for 25% off from May 4-6.
IMHO they have the best prints out there for over-sized prints, although they aren't quite as inexpensive as some other sites.
I had better stick with my 3 for the month. I just returned from a wonderful visit with my granddaughter and great granddaughter. I wish I could commit to a higher number of pages with this new batch of photos I took. I just can't see the time allowing it for sure.

I didn't make my April goal of 25, but I'm not disappointed as I'm pretty sure I got 16 pages done! Put me down for 15 for May. I picked up the June 2012 issues of Scrapbooks Etc. Between it and the challenges for inspiration Inshould be able to make that!

I have plans to partake in digi-scrapping this weekend! . I have a lot of pages to get printed too, though probably won't take time for uploading files this weekend.
Thanks!

Check out my posts #9 and #16 for some deals and also to remind you that (Inter) National Scrapbook Day on May 5 with sales going on all weekend at many sites!
I thought it was just Digiscrap Day, but it's for ALL scrappers.

Wendy, thanks for all the info. I'm substituting at the high school today and the class is an independent class (so therefore I'm a glorified babysitter) so I'm downloading kits from The Blog Train. Only a couple not working but overall not a problem and if I'm not scrapping, I'm at least playing :-)

I haven't been doing well at making my monthly scrapping goals, so I'm going to put myself down for 10 this month. Hopefully I can do that. Here's my first layout:
Hey ladies! Had a day off of work today and with hubby working, I knew I had to make time to play! Had errands to run this morning...one of which consisted of going to the Verizon store. Well, I got there before it opened so it FORCED me to go into Hobby Lobby for about 1/2 hour ;) You know how torturous that was, right? LOL...so I got a couple of goodies. Then, when I got home, I completed 3 pages! YAY!

Lynley, dds pics are adorable! There are times for making memories and times for scrapping memories...you're just in the making memories mode ~ scrapping will come later. Just be sure to write things down in the meantime, you'll be amazed at how much you forget! 'See' you when you find the time! :-)
I need to apologize for Thursdays challenge being late. Yesterday morning I had an appointment with my rheumatologist and I have to say I was not happy with what I was told. I hate having rheumatoid arthritis! So I whined and pouted the rest of the morning until hubby talked me into going and getting some flowers. So I went with him to get some flowers and then I watched him plant most of them. I really miss not being able to do a lot of things but I an thankful for the things I can still do. ok enough whining...

I can't imagine the pain at being forced to go into Hobby Lobby.......LOL

So sorry you had a tough day yesterday Patti. You're entitled to feel grumpy after an appointment like that. Sound like dh knows how to get you through it, how lucky you are for having a good guy! And you sound like you shook it off today and back on track! I'll say a prayer for some relief.
I have finished 11 pages so far from the 3 1/2 day crop I am attending. I am working on page 12 and 13 but went into " mind overload", that happens when everything you are doing starts to look the same. So I decided to come home for the night, get a good nights rest and start fresh tomorrow!!
Happy Scrapping!
Patti: I was looking for the challenge yesterday so I could work on a page today. After reading why I feel bad wondering what happened to the Thur challenge. I forgot about the challenge soon there after anyway.
I will have something to strive for tomorrow.......
I have some experiece with how you must have felt yesterday. My neighbor has RA and I have seen what she has, and is, going through. There are some pretty intense treatments that she takes (if you have good insurance bacause it is expensive as I understand it) every 6 months and now, once a year. Thank you for the challenge every week and may your flowers bloom profusely.
Full day of picture taking...tennis, full day of lacrosse, and a piano recital...crazy, crazy day today! :-) Only 3.5 weeks of school left and then I can scrap to my hearts content! :-)
