We're sending birthday cards to a fellow teapotter's (Clyndago) mother to help her celebrate her 75th birthday on the 25th of this month. 75 cards for 75 years? That's what we are aiming for!
Here is the address:
Nancy Mulroney
9161 Rancho Santa Fe E 24
Hesperia, CA 92345
Thank you so much! And Lynda thanks you also. Her mom loves hand made cards and birdies too! Plus, we better make Byrdella, the Birthday Planner look real good!
Such a great idea. I enjoyed making this card all the more knowing it's destination was not my card box. Well I'm off to the mailbox. Cheers, Elizabeth
Super cool idea .... and I put a 75 in my birdie's purse to make it age appropriate. I have this great stamp ...it says " To me old age is 15 years older than I am." By that calculation, this 75 year old is middle aged!
Oh the lies we tell ourselves just so we will get up in the morning !!!
I love this idea, Cindy! I will get mine in the mail right away, as her birthday is Friday! Hesperia isn't very far away, tho. My DH's late wife's parents live there. They are in their 80's!

I will be putting my birdies on the plane and heading over to Nancy...
Hugs to you Cindy xxxxx
I just saw this and love to send out B-day cards. It is in the mail!
I hope it is alright. even though I don't belong teapot Tuesday!
Hi Joan! Absolutely its alright! Its more than alright, its awesome! So glad you are sending out a card.....
The Tuesday Teapotters aren't really an official group, you might say. We just sorta collect together to do the weekly Teapot Tuesday challenge......so if you ever have a spare Tuesday and can come to a teaparty, we would love to have you! And thanks for finding us here.....and sending a card. You rock!
Mom called me yesterday afternoon to ask if I know someone named Yo Sam? I said, maybe...why? Well, she received a card from her, and since it is hand made, she figured it must be someone I know! I said, hmmm. She asked what I did, and I replied that she should just look forward to a few more cards coming! We will go to her house on Sunday, so I'll keep you posted!!!
Silly Sydney is really Elaine, a very close friend of Cat (Catgondek) and a teapotter who has been diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus. Elaine recently had a very serious surgery. Elaine truly does love the ocean and has a dream of seeing it first hand. Knowing that Cat has spent a great deal of time around the ocean she has often asked Cat what its like to feel the sand between your toes, hear the ocean waves, etc. Wasn't it a wonderful idea of Cat's to bring the ocean to Elaine? To move her to a happy spot during this difficult time? Elaine won't be able to make a trip to see the ocean but our cards will bring it to her along with well wishes! Elaine has two dogs (Annie and Sweetie) who most definately are the joy of her life! Guess what? They also share the dream of chasing frisbies on the beach!
Poor Elaine! She is living on jello! Can you imagine? Hey, speaking of Jello.......Elaine has been to a couple our our teaparties so she knows how they sometimes get a little rowdy! All you rowdy teapotters, here's your chance to sling some jello (not you Bertie!) at a fellow teapotter if you so choose.....Elaine won't have to go to the store if we sling a box of jello or two at her along with our cards! Of course that's just an option, we all know that alot of the teapotters are just too well behaved to sling jello and would feel better just sending a card!!
Here is Elaine's Address:
Elaine Elford
1301 Shirley Drive
Ypsilanti, MI 48198
Thank you so much! And Cat thanks you also. Her friend Elaine (and ours) will love her visit to the beach!
Thanks everyone!
UPDATE AS OF 3-26-11 ~ by Cat (Catgondek)
Elaine is still having health problems due to her reconstructed esophagus and is on a severely restricted diet. Blessedly, she has been allowed to work from home and is trying to put in enough hours to remain full time so that she can pay her bills although some weeks her health problems don't let her. She is still able to manage alone, still eating lots of jello and other easily digested things, and still dreaming of someday seeing the ocean.
I won't be able to make the teaparty till later today.
But oh my, can you believe I made THIS CARD two years ago and I still have it!! Because I don't have any more sand paper and I didn't want to say goodbye to it. I shall address it and post it to Elaine on my way to the doctor this morning.
Cindy, What a wonderful thread........I will be sending cards to Nancy and Elaine. I'll try to keep up with this post even after surgery to see who else can use a card. You are an amazing lady Cindy. God Bless you for always thinking of others.

Sue, I will be thinking of you on Friday....wishing you the best with your hip replacement. Excited for you to get this thing done and get back to stamping and enjoying your family.....
Many of you have received cards from Sue (Bensarmom)and if you have not, its just a matter of time! Sue hangs out in the Need a Life Forum quite a bit. You will always see her posting there, encouraging others, and sending out cards. She's been sending her cards to her fellow stampers for several years. She is always quick to respond to a call for cards, for someone celebrating a birthday, mourning the loss of a loved one, battling cancer, saddened over an unfortunate event, or recovering from an injury or surgery. This week we getta do a little payback!
Sue had hip replacement surgery on Friday (the 2nd) and she will be spending her 4th of July holiday recovering from her surgery. This is her second hip replacement, she had the othe hip done last summer! So Whoo Hoo Sue! You have two brand new hips! Woot!
I am sure she would love to send her daughter to the mail box each day to get wonderful cards from her fellow SCSer's! Let's make that happen!
Here is Sue's Address:

Thank you so much! I knew Sue will be tickled to see some spots while she is recovering!
sue has sent me not one but two cards as i recover from my wrist break and surgery. sure wish i could stamp and send a card or twenty to this very nice stamper who has certainly made me smile!! thank you to all who participate in this part of the teapot challenge.
I'm so happy to have found this page!! I'm always up for a good cuppa.
I was so over done on Recipe Swaps that I needed a long break. So, I cleaned out and reorganized my craft room -for the past 4 months!!! A story in itself.
Any-way, I have collected 4 shoeboxes, and several recipe card boxes not to mention a couple of priority mail boxes of cards, half made cards, swap & swaped cards. I have so many stinkin cards that I won't have to make another card for the next 5 years. Actually I just made a thank you one the other day
So, I will be more than happy to sent Sweet Sue a card - or two
Hi Sandi! That's good news for here, all those boxes of cards! I am happy you found this thread and can send off a card or two to some people that need a little cheering up! And about the thank you card you made......you just didn't have the exact, perfect, just right one in a box right? Tee Hee! Been there, done that! Thanks for poppin' in. I am sure we will have an address or two listed here in the future too!

Hi Marilynn......Sue will probably eventually read this.......I think......so she will understand your predicament...hope you are healing up good girlfriend, we miss you!
Thanks for the warm Welcome Mother. Now that I have read all the threads I understand more. Reading, hmm what a concept. Anyway, my card is off and on it's way. I'll be checking in from time to time, but will be leaving for Vancover on the 15th then on to Alaska on the 16th, so I'll be out of the loop for a while, unless I can talk hubby into getting internet service and an upgrade for my phone.
Hi Cindy, I recieved a special card from Sue this week.. wishing me a fast recovery! It is so special to get cards to lift your spirits.. I know it made my day!
I am getting a card ready to send off today!
