Hello! A bunch of us Splitcoast gals met in December at Gina K's. We are having another get together at Gina K's this Saturday, January 31st. We will go to Gina K's open house in Mc Farland, WI and will have lunch at Culver's at 11:30. Look for the table with the balloons on it. We have the table reserved for two hours thanks to Jeanie! For more details, read the WI Gals Road Trip to Gina K's thread.
We decided to pick a new name for our group and it is called CURDS...I know it is corny, but we do live in the dairy state! Now that we officially have a new name, it was decided that we should have a new thread! So I decided that I would start it out. Everyone is welcome to become a Corny CURD with us! Once you introduce yourself......you are one of the Herd!
I think I will put myself out to pasture for the night...... Hugs! Elaine
Thanks Elaine for the great start. Will enjoy chatting with my fellow Curds in this thread. Looking forward to see most of the group and some new faces tomorrow.

See y'all tomorrow (Sat in McFarland), and if not tomorrow, at some point in the future.

Dang! I wish I would have thought of this earlier, but anyone catching this before they take off today (Sat. Jan 31), if you have anything you're interested in trading or selling, bring it along ... you never know! (I've posted this in the WI gals thread also. Might be too late for today, but maybe something to think about for future gatherings, too.)

I'm subscribing to this thread too. You girls have a wonderful day today. The weather is perfect for you all too. Yes, I am jealous. But after a trip to the ER in the night, I can't even go to the funeral that I was going to today. I hope I can come on the next date wherever you all decide to go. Jeaniebean, you rock.

What a fun time at Culver's and TOO FUNNY that most of us know each other from other gatherings already! (Not to mention RobynO and I go WAAAAY back to so many years ago in a different life!) It was great to see everyone today and I can't wait to get together again! (Next time I'll bring some goodies to show everyone, too!)

What she said! LOL!
It was totally fun chattin it up with everyone who made it to Culver's today. Beautiful, beautiful cards and projects! (Val, I bow to your coloring awesomeness!) And what a beautiful day to be out and about -- way different than in December!
Looking forward to seeing more of the CURD Herd* in Friendship. I'm taking the plunge into swaps! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
*or is it the CURD Hurd? LOL!

You are just nuts Jeanie! LOL Your kids at school must just love you!
It was a blast to see everyone and there projects. We stopped at Archiver's and did some damage there too. Melissa and Susie had never been there and were AWED!
So did you gals make the treat bags at Gina K's or did they have a different project in the afternoon?
It was the treat bags ... and that puffy stuff for the frosting was sooo fun!
Did you meet Rupa in the morning? She was there with Karen and Jessica in the afternoon. Very nice gal and what a hoot!

Wow, I love to see so much activity going on here in Wisconsin! I live a little far north for your group, (I think), but it sounds like so much fun. We live on a dairy farm between Lodi and Prairie du Sac. I love to stamp!
It was a lot of fun today. I loved seeing everyone's projects. I have to admit I have never been to an Archiver's either. Sounds like that will have to be remedied one of these days.
Hi sisterlala! Nobody is too far away for our group. Just depends how far you want to travel for a get together. We have people from all over, the Madison area, Hartford, Friendship area, and Waupun. Everyone is welcome.
On a totally different but related topic (CURDS), did you ladies all notice the topics of Google ads above the quick reply box. That's pretty cheesy! (Bad pun intended!)

Let me know!

Welcome sisterlala! Ditto what Val said. (And you're right, there are a lot of us WI SCS fans! LOL!)
Very cheesey, Val! Did you make it to your DH's practice rehearsal?

And to those who weren't able to make it ... we missed you! And to redapron, we had cheese curds in your honor.

Actually Jeanie, I didn't go. As it turned out, DH wasn't there when I got home. He got a call asking where he was, and he had to make a mad dash to Milwaukee. Turns out there was a matinee performance today, as well as an evening performance. Tsk, tsk, tsk, someone didn't check their performance schedule. Thank goodness everything was in place so his crew could cover for him until he got there. He got there in time for the most important scene change, and all was well. Needless to say, he's a little sheepish about the sudden change of plans. LOL In the four years he's worked on the university's opera, this is the first time they've had matinees on both Sat. and Sun., so honest mistake I guess. I could've stayed in Madison and played longer. Oh well.

Oh my goodness! I was thinking it was a practice weekend! Dang CRS! No wonder it seems like a long time since you've seen much of him. LOL! Next weekend hopefully will be quiet and you can get reaquainted. And darn! yes you could have stayed longer and we could have scoped out Archivers ... ah well.
If we ever decide to head Janesville way there's a Stamping and Scrapbooking Memories store that is huge and amazing. That'd be closer to Peggysue. And those from the far north ... sleepover at Jean's! LOL!

OMG... is she a stamper?!
How far from McF are you? You know you're always welcome!

Girls, if you haven't been to Archivers yet, don't take your checkbook unless you are prepared to use it!!!! They have EVERYTHING you could ever want and then some. I don't go there very often because I manage to get myself in trouble with my DH when I do. They are more expensive than Micheal's or JoAnn's but it is worth it for the variety.
And to those who weren't able to make it ... we missed you! And to redapron, we had cheese curds in your honor.
That was very kind of you. I hope they were squeaky.
It doesn't look like I'll be able to join you this spring as I had hoped. My dh is having a hip replacement in a few weeks, so everything is on hold a bit until he recovers.

MOOOOO lady CURD HERD/HURD. I had a great time on Saturday and enjoyed seeing everyone that could make it. Look forward to seeing some of us again in March at Mad City and April at Friendship Swap. Those who couldn't make it...we missed you.
I was so sorry to hear about Gina's father passing but know that he is in a much better place and Gina's Blog indicates she knows this.

She(my sorority sister) isn't a stamper. I wish I could meet up for the next one but that is ds' first birthday. If there is ever a CURDS gathering in the Milwaukee area I am so there!

Congrats!
I know there was a Milw gal wondering about getting together ... have to see if I can find that again.

Hi! I just read this information on Melanie Muenchinger blog and thought I would share it with you. "When I asked her what I could do (Gina), you probably won't be surprised to read she is most concerned about helping her mother Ruth right now, and thought your handmade cards and wishes would do wonders! (She and Gina's dad were married for over 56 years.) If any of you are able to send a card to Ruth, we would be so grateful." Gina gave her blessing to share the address here with you:

And to anyone who would like to send a card to Gina, please do! her birthday is this Sunday! You can mail your birthday wishes to her at the store at this address:
