This card is for todY's Featured Stamper Challenge. Barb Gregg aka Amisjag has a lovely gallery with some wonderful Christmas cards among others. I chose this card as inspiration.
I had never tried dry debossing before. It was fun and fairly easy. I used a snowflake embossing folder to emboss my white card panel. I turned it over and stamped my plaid background stamp on the back side which left my debossing snowflakes white. Instead of a greeting, I chose a stamped stocking image as my focal point and used pine boughs instead of holly leaves. I placed my ribbon at the top rather than the bottom of the card. I was able to create a second card from the plaid background stamp with the debossing snowflake images still fully inked. You can see that card here:

Wow, the background you've created looks wonderful. The plaid stamp is great - I thought it was designer paper and die cut snowflakes. I love the traditional look of this Christmas card

Wow, Kathy this is fabulous. I did do the same card, but I didn't do my debossing properly. I love how this turned out and now hearing how you did it, I may have to try it again. I was in a hurry and didn't even check on how to do it exactly. That red and the pretty Christmas cut outs look so great on this.
