Tapestry

by Beate Johns

Supplies

image

Two or three complementary Craft Pad colors

White Craft Pad

Clear Embossing Powder

Heat Gun

White Cardstock

Sponges

Paper Towels

Step By Step

Step 1

Step 1.
Take the darkest color of your craft pads and sponge some on your Cardstock.

Step 2

Step 2.
Take the second darkest color and continue to sponge the white spots in.

Step 3

Step 3.
Finish sponging with your lightest color. Make sure your whole cardstock is covered. Ink up your image with White Craft Pad. Stamp once off your paper to achieve a softer look and then stamp on to your sponged background. Continue to do so until you're done. Try to do it quickly.

Step 4

Step 4.
Pour embossing powder over the whole cardstock and heat. Make sure your whole cardstock is covered in embossing powder. (Hint: If you have some spots where it doesn’t stick anymore emboss what you have. Next dab the Versamark pad all over the cardstock, pour embossing powder over and emboss again.)

Step 5

Step 5.
Your background is done. Use it as a card front or cut it up and use only pieces.

Step 6

Finished card!

Variations

Soften It
