Pearl Ex - Poppin' Pearls

Pearl Ex® makes stamped images shimmer.

Supplies

Stamps

Cardstock

Versamark® and/or pigment ink

Pearl Ex® (Super Russet and Aztec Gold)

Swiffer® cloth

Sponge daubers, stipple brushes, cotton balls, or Q-tips®

Acrylic sealer


Step By Step

Step 1

Step 1.
Stamp image with Versamark.


Step 2

Step 2.
Apply Pearl Ex to stamped images with sponge daubers, stipple brushes, cotton balls or Q-tips.


Step 3

Step 3.
Remove excess Pearl Ex with a Swiffer cloth.

If using one background, skip to Step 7.


Step 4

Step 4. (Optional)
For a double background, ink a second background stamp with Versamark and stamp over the first one.


Step 5

Step 5. (Optional)
Apply a second color of Pearl Ex. It will stick to both backgrounds.


Step 6

Step 6. (Optional)
Another swipe of the Swiffer cloth will remove the excess powder.


Step 7

Step 7.
Seal images with an acrylic sealer. Without a sealant, the Pearl Ex will come off whenever touched.


Step 8

Step 8. (Variation)
Stamp image with craft or pigment ink.


Step 9

Step 9.
Apply Pearl Ex carefully. The ink will smear a bit.


Step 10

Step 10.
Use the Swiffer cloth to take off excess powder, then apply acrylic sealer.

Step 11.
Finished card.
