Our Artist in Residence answers your questions
Q: Karn asked: "How are "Awning Cards" made?
A: We don't have a tutorial for awning cards on our site yet, but this forum thread will give you links to samples and instructions. Basically you create your canopy anywhere you want, score two folds on top and bottom. The top fold is to adhere the awning to your card front, the bottom to bend your canopy down for a more realistic look.

Feedback From Past Tutorials
EC has a suggestion for the Shoji Screen Tutorial: "Regular tissue paper seems fine; you can "stamp off" before applying the image to it and don't even have to reverse. I've only seen shoji screens in movies, etc. and they look white--made from rice paper, I believe, so I'd think this technique could even be more authentic if tissue paper is used."
