This year is Oklahoma's Centennial year. This card is a tribute to Oklahoma and my dad, who was considered a Davis pioneer. He passed away in 1951. Look below the picture and you will see our home town Davis.
The scanned picture is one I found in my scrap pile, because of the printing, and the map background is a page out of a 1976 Atlas , my husband threw in the trash and guess who took it out.
The old truck in the picture is one my dad used to haul - corn, cotton, peanuts, rock & gravel for roads - anything to make a living for his family.
The card - burned around the edges of the map with a match, distressed the picture, added ribbon and brads.

It's amazing how much one photo can say! I think distressing the photo was perfect as well a the piece of map! Heartwarming story and tribute to your dad!
