This is for yesterday's challenge to do a card using the verse as the main image -- great challenge Jen, thanks!
I consider this a masculine card. As I've said before, I do think Carte Postale lends itself well to masculine cards; however, some of my friends don't necessarily think these cards I am calling masculine are masculine -- what do you think? I suppose I wouldn't give this to a woodsworker or a trucker, but I do think it is *gentlemanly*. Or do you think it's just plain feminine in dark colors? Please be honest -- I am truly interested to see what you all think!

I think that this card is very versitile. I would not hesitate to give it to my hubby (and he is very sensitive about things being to girly), yet it would also work for a woman who is not to frilly...does this make any sence. Anyway, whether for a man or a woman...I think it rocks!!!!

first, i think your card is beautiful! and secondly, i think it very appropriate for a man. i have an opinion on masculine vs. feminine. i think we have mistakenly assumed, that just because someone is a man, everything for him has to be very 'manly' and that means dull colors, stripes, outdoorsy, etc....
i think a man appreciates beautiful things too and can enjoy bright colors, flowers, .... and we don't necessarily need to totally avoid traditionally feminine things. i might not go wild with lace and pink ribbon on a man's card (lol) but i don't think we have to go totally safe either. i do agree though that it helps to know the individual man you're sending to. just a thought.

oh....I agree with you....I think it is masculine in a clean, crisp, designer way......things don't have to have cars and trucks and cowboys to be masculine..........you go , girl

My first thought was that it was masculine and wonderful! Perfect for certain occasions and certain men but could be for a woman needing a lift too. I love it!

I think you're doing a fabulous job of adapting this set for masucline cards! I was surprised with the first one you did, that it actually did work. My husband likes vintage and rather ornate stuff, so I'm sure this look would appeal to him. It's just a beautiful card for anyone!
