This is my sample for the WTUI challenge this week which you can find HERE .
To start I took some white card and applied some distress inks direct to paper, crumpled it, added some more ink and spritzed with water. I'd tried writing with a resist crayon but maybe I didn't press hard enough... not easy when you can't see what you're writing! When I sponged more ink on it barely showed at all, so i wrote some leaf and flower definitions with a black brush marker. The gold trellis was attached by stitching all the way round the edge.
Sponged some card with red ink and stamped the poppies in three sizes, then fussy-cut them. Also stamped and cut some leaves.
Stamped the sentiment on white card, sponged with Antique Linen after cutting and added a black base layer, popped up on foam. Some poppies are popped up, they all have Stickles dotted in the centres.
The base was sponged with Black Soot distress stain.
I hope you'll have fun playing along - whichever of the various options available you decide to go with ;-). Challenge yourself!

This is so lovely, Sabrina! I love those deep red poppies and that fabulous gold trellis! Your handwriting in the BG is the perfect touch for this lovely card!

Great choice of stamps for the poppies - They have a nice hand-drawn look to them which pairs well with the handwriting in the bg. The gold trellis adds some nice shine and if I'm not mistaken your stitched edging is done with variegated metallic thread - I didn't know they even made that anymore!! Beautifully done as always, Sabrina.

Gorgeous red poppies look even more striking with your gold trellis.
The multicolored stitching around the perimeter pairs well this the botanical, and your handwritten bg is very alluring adding to the romantic feeling of your card!
