This is my sample for the WTUI challenge this week which you can find HERE .
To start I took some white card and applied some distress inks direct to paper, crumpled it, added some more ink and spritzed with water. I'd tried writing with a resist crayon but maybe I didn't press hard enough... not easy when you can't see what you're writing! When I sponged more ink on it barely showed at all, so i wrote some leaf and flower definitions with a black brush marker. The gold trellis was attached by stitching all the way round the edge.
Sponged some card with red ink and stamped the poppies in three sizes, then fussy-cut them. Also stamped and cut some leaves.
Stamped the sentiment on white card, sponged with Antique Linen after cutting and added a black base layer, popped up on foam. Some poppies are popped up, they all have Stickles dotted in the centres.
The base was sponged with Black Soot distress stain.
I hope you'll have fun playing along - whichever of the various options available you decide to go with ;-). Challenge yourself!

Lovely, lovely card in Sabrina style......love the bg with your hand written words. The crayon is not something that ever worked for me either. The gold trellis is perfect for your show stopping poppies. Thanks for the fun challenge, it was so nice to make a card for it. Fav'd

Sabrina the colors you used on your BG are brilliant with the bright pop of red flowers. I love the added stitched trellis and the wonderful penmanship works beautifully. I sure wish I could write this nicely. I tend to think my handwriting is more chicken scratch and so I try to not write often and especially if it is something that someone else has to read. Super beautiful card.
