Today's card is going to my mailperson. She is the one that got me into stamping. Her Christmas present every year is a gift card to SU and rosettes. Need to make the rosettes yet. It's late this year, but she understood. This will fit into two challenges...Sabrina's yesterday. That challenge really had me thinking about all the inspiration we share with each other. Something old....paint brush, die, person making the card, stamp. New..the digi. Borrowed....every card I make has borrowed inspiration from numerous stampers. The person who first inspired me with coloring and shading would be Karen Barber. She made those markers do magic. Blue....the vases. Wendy asked us to use a die. Using an old border die framed the image. Recently saw a post on how to glue the intricate dies using a sponge. Take foil and squeeze out the glue...using the sponge(which has been cut into a small piece) dip into glue and dab on the die. It really works well. You can reuse the sponge by storing it in an airtight container. TFL

Bestill my heart Linda, this card is absolutely stunning! Wow! Have you ever considered a career in writing? Because you are hilarious! I will buy your first book as long as you will autograph it for me. I digress though, I love everything about this stunning card! The lacy scalloped die and your strategic scoring are incredible in themselves, and they truly showcase the gorgeous painting you do so amazingly well! I also love all the colors you chose here. Hugs! ~Karen.

Oh, you've done it again, Linda!! What a remarkable card with the absolutely beautiful flowers and vase. The border die cut framed the floral image so beautifully!! Outstanding artwork, my friend!! I wish I had a smidgen of your crafting skills!
