This is for Lisa's WTUI challenge this week - you'll be able to read all about it HERE.
I took a break from Christmas and thought of summer with this little teacup, mouse and strawberry flowers. It reminds me of a tea-set I used to look at and look at in a shop, only it had actual berries and not just the flowers. But I don't really use fine china, so I never bought it. And don't you love the little teddy tucked in under that cosy quilt! To go with the theme of the stamp I used the Pillow Top background from TLC479. I was lucky to find a snippet of blue lace matching the colours I'd already used on my image, so I added that and a few punched flowers to pick up on the strawberry blossoms. Image coloured with pencils, then sponged lightly with Antique Linen.
I'll add a sentiment when I know what I'm using it for...

Wow, Sabrina! You did a super job with the pillow top background piece which goes perfectly with the little critter lying on its pillow. The teacup image is gorgeous with the beautiful flowers and foliage. The critter's night cap hanging on the handle of the tea cup is darling! Your lace and stitching are fantastic additions, my friend!! Great piece of art!

This immediately brought to mind the 'Night before Christmas' poem although your little mouse forgot to put on his cap. Love the little cluster of flowers that reflect the flowers on your teacup.

Sabrina, this is just darling! Love the little mouse all snug as a bug in a rug, enjoying what looks like blissful slumber. Spectacular coloring skills and a perfect match in your punched flowers and greenery, as well as the beautiful snippet of blue lace. So sweet!

Sabrina, LOVE LOVE LOVE this! That bg is to die for (I've done something like this in the past, but prefer your method). Love the color for this absolutely adorable image and your little critter(s) and their "bed" are beautifully colored!
