Okay, I did start out with the colors today, really I did. Despite the untold number of disasters along the way, I was forced to change my strategy. I still have the colors, plus one.
You'll need to enlarge your screen by 200% in order to see the grass green (next to what once was a swing before destroying it), teal is in the dress and yellow is the hair. So how did I cheat? Well, it was sorta like this: I couldn't color the dog either yellow, teal or grass green. No, of course not. Hence, I had to cheat with coloring the dog a more, shall I say, neutral color. Hey, I think I might even end up with bonus points today for using a neutral. How bout that?
Too many mishaps got the better of my judgment. I really didn't start out with the intent of cheating. That just happens to me so often I guess I don't realize it anymore. Well, sort of ...
Have a wonderful evening, everyone

Anne,
The minute I saw your card I thought of the children's book, "The Big Red Dog, Clifford"!! Wonderfully playful with awesome shading on the big guy! This just brings such a smile to my face!!
Super cute! Love the big dog. . . reminds me of a show my daughter used to watch, "Clifford The Big Red Dog." The bow at the top really adds a sweet touch!

How fun this card is Anne - I take the little girl to be swinging her arms out wide to hug that adorable doggie! Having had St. Bernard's it seems very normal to me!

I can sooo identify with mishaps and re-dos. Your tale is too funny! I love the result, though, with that darling dog waiting to slobber all over the little girl. Very sweet!

How cute is this??? I love little kids with big dogs...soooo cute! The dog is always trying hard to tolerate the kid climbing on them or not to step on the kid....lol.
What a wonderful big dog you did! Unless you had the kid putting color on the dog, no, I dont see how you could have put those colors in...unless he was a green dog for St Pats Day!
It's great card-seeing from the child's pov.

this is such a cute card Ann - I always love reading your write-ups -such a hoot-I hate to burst your bubble - but neutrals are always allowed in the CC-

I love the scale you have used, My dog certainly is larger than life.
The girl looks like she's meditating in front of the dog, I can just hear her say OM. You didn't need the swing
The whole image is so adorable
