Lately I've been trying to get more creative with my layouts, and this month I fell in love with the rectangle area on the bottom third of the card front - LOL. The fireplace gave me another opportunity to exploit this layout (expect to see a couple over the weekend too). Since fire is red, yellow and a few other shades...I made the tower red, and for the sentiment I used gold ink. I love how it turned out! I think 'black' is the perfect 'white' space too!
Won't you join us and take the challenge of developing a unique card design inspired by an image on this weeks Inspiration site? I know you'll come up with something that's beautiful and fun to make! (It's an amazingly fun process!)
Hugs,
Audrie

Audrie, I love the black "white space" and the pop of red in your Paris skyline. The window at the bottom third of the card is something I'm going to try. I like how it spotlights your image even more and it's so elegant. Beautiful card!

So you're up to 'exploiting' rectangles now? I think not. Minimalistic at its best with your floating rectangle on the lower edge of your card. It's really striking. Yes, I agree black can and should be the new white for CAS cards. Watch out ... I think you might be starting a new design amongst the SCS stampers, Ms. Audrie.
