Our WT566 challenge is to somehow represent our corner of the world. Well, at this time of year that was a no-brainer for MN, as we have been enduring a frigid week - but at least have some pretty snow to distract us from shivering! And yes, people do go for sleigh rides! Also, I actually had picked out this inspiration image from Saturday's inspiration site (IC527), but had not gotten to it yet, so I figured this was a great combination (love that sky): https://www.pinterest.com/pin/558727897492573276/
Splattered a panel with masking fluid, and after it dried I sponged the scene using a post-its masks for the moon, and the snow drifts. Stamped the trees with my NEW tree stamp (I'm crazy for tree stamps), removed masks and rubbed off the masking fluid to reveal the snow (love that moment)! I wasn't totally pleased with the whole scene, so I cut it down to include only the part I liked and framed it with my favorite die cut frame. Added some snow to the tree with a gel pen. Added the sleigh die cut to create some depth to the scene. (Sleigh and frame are popped up with dimensionals).

Wow! The sky in the inspiration piece is beautiful but your sky in your card is even more beautiful. That moon really is glowing! It lights your entire card. Beautiful composition and beautiful trees. They look so real!

What a wonderful winter scene... it would be wonderful to go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, so long as there were plenty of warm blankets. The snowy night sky is beautiful.
