This is for Barbara's fun colour challenge using Hello Honey, Rose Red and Garden Green with a bonus dessert, Christmas. I hope Cleo qualifies as Christmas.
Cleo has mixed parentage, her head is a TH crazy bird stamp and her body is a PowerPoppy digi image, boots are by Unity, the sentiment by Darkroom Door and her hairdo is by me.
The background was made by adding several drops of green, pink and silver Izinks on a sheet of aluminium foil, squirt a lot of water on the foil and also on the cardstock - wetting the cardstock helps spread the Izink a bit further. Smoosh the cardstock around in the inky water. Set aside to air dry.
Cleo's body is painted with white acrylic paint, instead of brushing on the paint, jab it on thickly with a stippling brush - ok I didn't use a real stippling brush, that's what I rename all the brushes that I forget to wash before they dry. The scarf, hat and little branch were painted with Peerless Paints and an aqua pen. They paint on as easily as colouring with distress inks, I love them.
Cleo's hair was made by laying a scrap of acetate (from old packaging) over the crazy bird, using a Sharpie pen to draw the shape. When the acetate hair looks right, lay it over a piece of black cardstock and cut out. It is hard to see in the photo, she has liquid pearls in her hair to resemble beads. Draw little lines of liquid pearls and allow to thoroughly dry. After it is dry, cut very narrow strips to form her hair.
Add background stamp before adhering Cleo. Add liquid pearl 'berries'. MISTI stamping tool was great for the sentiment, it was stamped 3 times in versafine to make it solid black then cut out and adhered to Cleo. I hadn't planned on giving Cleo feet, but the card didn't look balanced especially with the berry tree taking up the top half of the card. Adding boots solved the problem.
Thank you for looking.

Another card that is pure genius! I'd like a peek inside your head Susie! How on earth do you come up with this stuff? Your cards are so fabulous I feel like I should have to pay you just to look at them!

The first word that came out of my mouth, quite loudly, was a smiling...HA! Such a buxom Snow Babe you've created! You're getting really near to the edge this time. I LOVE it!!! She must be a model. I can tell by her stance. And she's adorned in all the latest knit wear and matching shoes. Plus her hair is mussed up, just a little...just to give her that special "appeal".

Another stunning artwork from a very talented artist and story teller. You must have spent hours beading her hair for her - he he. Have only just seen this - as have not had the time to wander through the gallery at leisure (or anything else come to think of that). I am amazed at your use of the Crazy birds - and this is just brilliant.

Susie, I love looking in your gallery. Your cards always bring a huge smile as you are just so clever. These TH birds are so fun with how you play with them and how they turn out on your cards. Thank you for the smiles and sharing your creativity with us.
