So nice to be back in my craft room after a very relaxing 10 days by the beach!
Barbara has chosen 4 lovely colours this week - Elegant Eggplant, Calypso Coral, Old Olive & Bermuda Bay. I used the Smash & Squirt Technique, with all 4 colours, on both glossy and matte white c/s. I used the matte one for the bg and the glossy one for the butterfly. I die cut the butterfly twice, offsetting the coloured butterfly, to show the white butterfly behind it. Added silver rhinestones - dessert this week - and used my scor pal as a border.
TFL!

Sue, this card is so pretty! I love that you used the same technique on two different kinds of cardstock, and got different results. I love the 2-layer butterfly with the white peeking out!

I'm glad to hear you were by the beach and relaxing! I was thinking I hadn't "seen" you, and was coming to your gallery to see if it was just that our paths weren't crossing just now. Love the contrast between the matt and glossy - it gives that butterfly such shimmer.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?

Sue, long time no see. Hope you're okay and just taking a break from card crafting. Your bg is outstanding. I'm still struggling with paints. Beautiful card topped with a beautiful BF. Cmon back and soon!
