I was working on this when the Free for All challenge of honouring our fathers was posted. What a lovely coincidence! I followed a great tutorial by Irene Rhodes posted in the Fan Club threads. A great reason to be a member!
Both my father and father-in-law are no longer with me so this is for my husband. Before we were married we made furniture as a hobby (more properly HE made furniture and I played a support role, i.e. mostly sanding and finishing). One of the first things he built was a proper workbench which is still with us and fully stocked with every tool known to mankind. He is an extremely handy guy and I am very appreciative of all he does. BTW the card bench is MUCH tidier than the real one. :-)

Outstanding! I remember and faved the original card mentioned, even had a go at making one (not posted to date) but I really love your light colored wood bench color, and the scattered tools laying on the shelf...this is soooo cool!!

Oh, Ann, this is absolutely fabulous! I love it and it's amazing! And I got a giggle out of Michele's comment about how we make a lovely card like this one and the result is a mess of our craft space! LOL! Fabulous job!! Hugs!
