Another fabulous inspiration site this week (IC483) - Thanks Audrie!. I was inspired by the rich, vibrant colors in this image and had been wanting to do a bird and branch card, so they seemed to fit well together: http://www.greatbigcanvas.com/view/p...E07RNOnVHFpmaS
Die cut my main panel, blended inks, stamped the text stamp (wiping off sections and stamping off first for a softer look- it shows up better IRL), sprayed with shimmer spritz. Die cut the bird, blended 2 inks, stamped w/ grunge stamp and blended edges for a vintage look. Embossed the wing for textures. Die cut the branch, leaves and berries, inked the leaves and berries with 2 colors to create shading, embossed the leaves for texture, spritzed the berries for shine. Assembled, popping up the panel and the bird. Added sentiment strip.

Maura, I am just blown away each time I visit your colorful gallery. Your designs are fantastic! This beautiful CAS is so eye appealing with the textured embossing, and shadowed sponging that allows a faint hint of script in the background to show through. Lovely card!

Absolutely Stunning Rich Colors and sponged die cut images. I LOVE your bird and have actually had mine out to play with since there have been bird and spring challenges. You have really inspired me Maura. TFS

Rich. Bold. And oh-so-beautiful. I love your extra touches to the BG and the texture on the bird and leaves. Thanks for joining us at the MMCC this month!
