Another fabulous inspiration site this week (IC483) - Thanks Audrie!. I was inspired by the rich, vibrant colors in this image and had been wanting to do a bird and branch card, so they seemed to fit well together: http://www.greatbigcanvas.com/view/p...E07RNOnVHFpmaS
Die cut my main panel, blended inks, stamped the text stamp (wiping off sections and stamping off first for a softer look- it shows up better IRL), sprayed with shimmer spritz. Die cut the bird, blended 2 inks, stamped w/ grunge stamp and blended edges for a vintage look. Embossed the wing for textures. Die cut the branch, leaves and berries, inked the leaves and berries with 2 colors to create shading, embossed the leaves for texture, spritzed the berries for shine. Assembled, popping up the panel and the bird. Added sentiment strip.

Wonderfully intense colors on this card. Your bg blending is so perfect that it looks brayered. Adding the subtle texture to it gives it another dimension. The bird on the berried branch is a great focal point.

Gorgeous card, Maura. Love the vibrant colours of your background ... really shows off your sweet bird on a branch. Thanks so much for playing along at Happy Little Stampers, ATCAS and Mixed Media Card Challenge! xx
