I didn't have to go far to pick my inspiration...I chose THIS set. Tea sets usually make me think of lavenders & purples so it really appealed to me.
The tea set was stamped & colored very sparingly with Copics, then die cut & I used a pale lavender Copic around the edge. I used a scallop die twice to cut the lower edge of the larger white panel & also edge the top scallop w/ the same marker.
On the top of this panel, I lined up the alphabet dies, die cut them, then trimmed the top down. I used the actual die cut letters, cut in half, for the top part & added a little aqua Copic to them. The tea border was stamped across the bottom of the die cut lavender panel & I added a die cut bow & tea rose on the side. The edge of the large lavender panel was also shaded a bit w/ the lavender marker.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff p.s. I also have a link on my blog for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop..& it's pretty wonderful.

Such pretty pastel purple and jade colours. I am going for "high tea" next Friday - and I hope that it will be served on beautiful china like this. I have a real weakness for lovely china cups and saucers like this. Simply elegant.
