Sometimes some things just work out when making a card, but this time EVERYTHING worked out! Before seeing any challenges, I was coloring this image for a card for my dh. Not only is valentines day this month, but so is his B- day. His hobby is gardening and he loves to grow flowers. While he watched THAT FOOTBALL THING, I sat at the kitchen table doing my favorite thing, coloring. The inside of the card says
"Love "blooms" whenever you are near". My husband loves orange and lavender, so I included those colors. I was able to smile, nod my head, and make somewhat coherent responses to his yells over the super bowl game. When I saw Angie's CAS310 to make a card full of love, this was perfect. After carefully coloring this pretty adult coloring page, I wasn't sure what to do with it. Then I saw Joan's TLC519. OMG... the hardest thing I have done lately was to cut my painstakenly colored image in half. When it actually worked out, I let out a "wwhooop" and did a happy dance to rival any end zone celebration. My husband thought I was excited about the wild end to the super bowl. So, I am off to work feeling happy that everything worked out on this card. TFL, Francie

Francie, this is so incredibly well coloured, love your colours, and particularly love this against the Orange striped bg!! I can imagine you not wanting to cut in half but I think it looks fantastic with the fancy edges!! Great story - I imagine all of the U.S. were glued to their TVs yesterday - the Super Bowl is quite popular here in Australia these days!

Gorgeous card........outstanding coloring. Don't you just love it when everything just flows nicely while designing a card? Most cards I make take me a whole day to design and my craft room looks like a bomb hit it right after. I know I'm not alone on that one. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card creation.

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a BRAVE woman! I don't think I would have the nerve to cut my colored images in half for this technique. You did an awesome job and I love that pop of the orange striped paper "down below."

Oh, Francie, this is absolutely delightful. I love your orange and white pinstripe BG, for your beautifully colored flower panel. It reminds me of the flower seed packets you buy for spring planting. I also love what looks like scoring to me around your sentiment down under. Your DH will love this!!!!!
