This is for Angie's fun CAS tree challenge and inspired by Joan's great TLC scraps challenge...I still had my scraps box on the desk!!
I cut these strips from two different "leftover" mixed media backgrounds. To bring some unity, I inked all the edges with walnut stain distress ink.
I adhered the strips, then added the tree and sentiment. The tree is not completely stuck down, I left the top brances unglued (is that a word). This was not only fun, but super quick to make.
Thank you for looking ladies.

Oh wow! First the sentiment jumped out at me, it's my favorite MFP sentiment! Second, OMW your use of scraps is amazing! I love this design. The scraps are a wonderful backdrop for your white tree! Thanks for playing along with this week's CAS challenge!

Another gorgeous use of your scraps! The most amazing part of this is that you have scraps that actually match! How neat is that! I love the rich, bold colors you created with the tree in white. What a wonderful font for your sentiment too!

This card has an incredible sense of motion in it. The horizontal scrap panels combined with the tree limbs really conjures up the wind! The fact that the top branches aren't glued down just adds to that feeling. This is a marvellous and vibrant card!

This is super impressive, Susie! Those scraps are fabulous, and I love how the green is in the background wash of strips like they have leached all the colour from the tree leaving it as a crisp, white, pristine image. Truly gorgeous.

Pretty paper scraps, love the colors and and how you arranged them. I think unglued is a word, but then again, I am good at making ones up that sound good too...;0)...fun way to give DH a smile as he laughs how I mix words up. Very pretty my friend...TFS..:0)
