I got up early today and signed up for Weight Watchers (had too - no choice!), looked at Big Foot Becky's gallery so I could do the QFTD challenge, and then searched my stamps for something that spoke to me. Well given I am feeling a little chubby today (don't you hate those days), I was drawn to the good old No Place Like Gnome stamp set (mainly for the sentiment that says "I like to hang out with people who are shorter and chubbier than me"). Couldn't use that sentiment because these days, it is getting hard to find people chubbier than me - plus just who do you send a card like that to? I was trying to plan my card around the garden theme on Becky's card and it hit me that the new movie, Gnomeo and Juliet, might give me some good coloring ideas so I went to the trailers online:
Wow- she has been making shaped cards for a long time and this one is beautiful. I changed the colors and image, made it into an easel card, and added a few more layers and embellishments.

Nancy this card is adorable. This gnome reminds me of the travelocity gnome-and a great story I have about the gnome. During one of the banks Christmas parties they were drawing names for prizes. People were winning computers, grills, televisions, bicycles, Kitchenaide mixers and such. Well, my name was picked and I got a gnome-but there was a stipulation and there was a message on the bottom that I was suppose to keep secret. Well the message was that I was suppose to bring the gnome back the following year to the Christmas Party. So anyway, as it goes everyone questioned me about the Gnome-so I told them it was the travelocity gnome and that I had won a trip for two anywhere in the US!!! lol I really had them going. Joke was on me.....I got laid off Jan 22 and never did get to bring that gnome back to the Christmas party. But it was fun while it lasted....thanks for the memory!

Whoo Hoo! This is totally adorable! I need to sign up for Weight Watchers but just can't drag myself away from the table long enough to do it! I want to loose 30 pounds before June (that will only get me down to 175)!

Silly Nancy ~ you sized 8 stampers just kill me. I think your card is just a hoot. Love the gnome theme and the easel design is ever so imaginative. Great case to honor our newest queen.
