I wanted to try again the embedded image technique that Holly issued on Monday. I wasn't happy with the black swirly lines in my first card (from Monday). I wanted to try to make the swirly bg look like snow swirling around the tree.
This time, I inked the swirl bg stamp with Versamark and then heat embossed with White glittery ep. Then I applied 3 coats of clear ep. I Versamarked the tree image and heat embossed with green ep and green glitter. The tree is glittery, however, you cannot see the glittery swirls in the bg. Any suggestions? I think it would really be cool if you could see gilttery swirls in the bg.
The poinsettia is a nestie. The leaves are an MS punch. I added gold half pearls to finish the card.
What do you think?

Just so pretty, Lesley! Don't you just hate when you can't capture the sparkle? Love that tree and the beautiful poinsettia. I'm really anxious to decorate for Christmas.

Girl, I dont know what that technique is about and probably never will since I'm not a technique person. But it's lovely on this card and I think you used that tree last week, did you not? I loved then and I'm still lovin' it. It has such great detail. Your card is fabulous, dah-ling.

I like the one you loaded after this the best - but this is really pretty too. Isn't it fun to try new things? I tried that technique a few months ago - it is pretty cool but not easy.

Leslie I am just loving this stamp. It makes a very impressive Christmas card. I love your traditional Christmas colors and the embedded image technique. You did a great job on the sketch challenge for this week as well. Superb card!
