Before looking at the daily challenge, I usually have a card type in mind. Today Christmas and masculine birthday topped my list. The IC site (Poster Cabaret) has awesome art, but it was a bit of a shocker when considering Christmas and a card for a conservative, older, male lawyer. After looking at nearly every poster, I finally chose Band of Horses.
My images are from Dover clip art. My edges are torn and sponged with black and gray chalks and the seat was colored in red with a Prismacolor pencil and blended with cuticle oil. The Happy Birthday is from Flourishes Sweet Violets.
TFL and have a great weekend.
Shall return later to look at everyone's work and to post comments.

Now look what you've gone and done! I am in awe of how this card evolved from where you started. It's fantastic with that chalk and so definitely a male birthday card. Love the punched edge; it works perfectly with the image.
Every Friday at noon, the SCS Queen For The Day is crowned amidst the roar of congratulations, national news TV crews and Vanna White. Come, be a part of our QFTD32 and, while you're at, try your hand at one of the contest give aways.
