The Inspiration Challenge today is to choose a vase from Bellacor. I chose this La Sueca vase because I love the colors, and the way they fade from dark to light...sort of like a brayered background. I still want to brayer everything since taking Michelle Zindorf's classes.
This card is for a friend at church who has cancer. He's a rugged, outdoorsy type guy who's hanging in there as best as he can. I have made cards for him with deer and bear images, so I thought I'd try an outdoor scene with my new stamps from Stampscapes. I love these stamps...they're sooooo easy to use! I still don't have the shadowing (reflection in water) part down right and need a LOT more practice, but I think it's a pretty and peaceful scene. I hope he likes it...hope you do too. TFL
BTW - If you're interested in buying this stunning vase, it's available for $451 and change! LOL

Leisa, I believe I look forward to your cards as much as I do to the saturday challenge. I know I say the same thing every week, but I'm totally at a loss for something new and creative to say when I come upon your works of art. This is so wonderfully colored and so soothing! just beautiful. No, the phones are ringing off the hook. I just scheduled a closing for 8/31, but there's nothing else on my books. Oh No! So glad you've waited through the storm to reap the benefits of tenacity. Good for you and your DH! that's great news.

OMG, you took a class with Zindorf?!!! (Can you see the green rising over here?) Well, you've certainly mastered scenery and brayering with an A++++. This is gorgeous. My thoughts are with your friend and I'm ever so confident that your beautiful creation will brighten his spirits immediately! Wowsa!

Your friend will be beautifully transported to his beloved outdoors when he opens this card!! He will treasure this as I'm sure he treasurers you for remembering him with all these outdoorsy cards. How kind you are!

Wow, what a lovely scene! And the reflection looks great to me! The reason for this card is a sad one, but he will definitely appreciate this peaceful scene.
