For Limited Supply LSC219 - That's a holiday? and Ways to Use .... Kraft paper WT217 and also for StampinB's challenge to spotlight.
So - May Day falls on May 1 and I designed my card based on the tradition of this holiday. WAY back, the May Pole was a pole made of wood - usually maple, with streamers and/or flowers hanging down.
For my spotlight, I cut out a circle from the kraft cardstock and mounted it on black cardstock. I decided to use my Inkadinkado flourish as it contains maple leaves and flowers. The image is embossed with black and gold - looks shinier in real life! The kraft paper is raised with the help of dimensionals. For the May pole ribbon I added some satin black ribbon in the corner of my card. A SU rub-on sentiment finishes it off!
Thanks for taking a peek!

Laurie my friend, this is too too fabulous. I feel a case coming on big time. LOL
What an incredibly beautiful way to spotlight this image. You are a genius. I love every little detail and I'm paying very close attention to them. LOL
Great color choice, love the gold embossing, the simple layout and the perfect sentiment. You rocked this one out of the park my friend. Thanks for playing......

Awesome card! Love the kraft and black and the flourishes for streamers from the May Pole. Great spotlighting.
