Thanks so much, Betty! I could hardly wait for the Olympic Color Challenge to be posted. I hope everyone has fun with it!
If you've watched even a little of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, you've probably seen the graphic designs all over the place. They are so colorful and seemed to jump off the screen at me. I, of course, thought...hey, I can make a card from that!
I'll be in Event 3...choosing 3 colors from the Olympic Icon 'Dude'. For the dessert option, I added silver. Hey silver isn't bad...I'm so proud of the USA Ice Dancing pair that won silver Monday night!
I used a brayer and masking to make each level. The main tree and sentiment are embossed in white. Although it's way out of my comfort league (a white based card?!), it reminds me of the winter Olympics that I love so much.
Go USA!
Another big THANK YOU to Betty...you're AWESOME!!!
TFL!

Absolutely gorgeous and so in tune with our westcoast Olympic theme. Change the word "Winter" for "Believe" and you would "OTP" (Own The Podium) with Gold! tfs

Oh, I love this! Was hoping that someone would do card based on beautiful graphics in the figure skating rink and your card is just a perfect interpretation of the colors and style of the rink. Thanks for picking my favorite Olympian graphic for your inspiration!

Wow, how incredible! You made great use of the Olympic colours and made it a winter themed card. It's stunning! We are heading downtown tomorrow to take our girls to see the Olympic sites. Go Canada! :o)

Well, After seeing 106 comments, I thought your mom had better be the 107th. to comment. Sorry, it took me so long.....This is absolutely beautiful. You just amaze me with your talent. "Excellent" brayering on all the mountains and who, but you, would have thought to put a different background on every mountain. It is a Great piece of Art.
