Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Basic Black, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White.
Speedy the Cat ADORES my mother. He simply goes NUTS when she is visits. He sits on her lap and purrs and nuzzles her face. It's disgusting, and totally un-catlike!
Recently...last week...my mother has gotten new cancers. She now has stomach cancer and BREAST cancer....It's really horrible, and she's already on chemo, for leukemia, so there is really nothing left to do but wait.
Being a breast cancer survivor, myself, I find it ridiculous that this disease can manifest when someone is undergoing OTHER cancer treatment!
So, in honor of my mother, I have started a card drive for the women undergoing treatment for breast cancer in our city. There are 77 "breast cancer clusters" in our city, and that is staggering!
The background was run through the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder. I rubbed the Pink Pirouette ink pad over the surface to shade the embossed areas.
The star was stamped in Pink Pirouette and the sentiment was stamped over the star in Basic Black.
The primas were WHITE! I pressed them into the Pink Pirouette pad and dried them with the heat tool. The leaves were punched out of Whisper White and then shaded with Pink Pirouette.

Faith, I am so sorry to hear your mothers cancers have gone wild a tough one to handle. I have been there as I lost my dear husband from leukemia five and a half years ago, it seems like yeaterday hard to cope with. Your card is just beautiful, and from what I can see Faith you are a remarkable person, just know we all care. Love and prayers from someone who cares.

What a wonderful initiative to start to collect cards for these women. And I am sorry to hear about your mom's continued health struggles. The black butterflies are so pretty. A lovely, delicate card.
