I love Roxie's sketch, but of course I had to flip it sideways. I know, never do the easy thing, that's my middle name apparently. And the colors for yesterday's color challenge I think are challenging. Not easy for me to work with and I'm still not convinced they look good on my card, but I took forever so it's getting uploaded.
What I did: the big sunflower (Rubber Stampede) was stamped twice on white c/s. I colored both w/ markers and masked the flower centers on the second one and overstamped the script writing (Rubber Trouble). Then I cut out these centers w/ just a few of the petals attached and stuck on top of the other one w/ foam tape. Then I drew a frame around the whole image w/ the clear acrylic Evo rectangles using a thick black marker and cut out for the out of the box look. This is layered onto red then rose c/s. I attached this w/ foam tape to the black diamond shape.
I stamped the checkerboard frame (Inque) again having to mask because the stamp is only checked on two sides and also to get the correct size. This is layered on red and then onto a saffron card. The image is centered and the three small sunflowers (ANM) were stamped, colored and cut out. TFL

This is absolutely gorgeous! Your big ole flowers are to die for! I am amazed at how well your checkboards lined up, not an easy task and you nailed it! This is such a wonderful card with beautiful vibrant colors. It rocks.
Hope your thumb is on the road to recovery. All day today, I was thinking. Holy cow, I can't believe how much I use my thumb! I am finding out how important our thumbs are! LOL! Good luck with that. At least we know it doesn't effect your awesome cards!!

oh Julie...those sunflowers are stupendous!!! I love the dimension you have on them and the script on some of the petals, is genius!!! I'd have to say you combined both challenges in a fabulous way...and girl, you have a very neat stamp collection...wish I could come and play at your studio one day (but not first thing in the morning!!!!)
