I could not believe this week is national pet sitters week. Tomorrow morning I am on my way to Charleston, SC to pet sit my son's 3 dogs. How fun to know I'm actually supporting this wonderful endeavor to pet sit!
I have a tremendous love of Saint Bernard's so this is how I ended up with this image. apparently, when I see saints I have total capacity to forget all the slobber I used to have to clean off the ceilings and then I seemed to have forgotten how our saint actually pushed the AC unit off it's concrete slab one summer. Oh, the fun of owning a saint.
Since I made a huge mistake with stamping my sentiment on the base, I had to add a panel to cover it up.
Here's to all the dog lovers and pet sitters today! We rock!

This is adorable, Anne. I did not realize you were a fan of these Goliaths!! When I was a young girl, a friend of mine had two, Dorcas and Barnaby! We would sleep on the floor in sleeping bags and in the morning the dogs would come in and flop down on top of us! A wonder I'm alive to tell the tale) Hope your sitting went well!

This is such a sweet card. I don't know if fussy cut the pooch, but he really looks fabulous popped up and I'd say the mistake was a really a happy accident.
I enjoyed your Saint reminiscence and I can relate to the slobber. I have an American Bulldog. You might find this amusing. http://poppapersissors.blogspot.com/2013/06/fathers-day

How totally cute! Sometimes the best things come after a "mistake" & your layout is wonderful. Can't even imagine having a dog that big..I used to take care of my sis' rotweiler when they were out of town & Princess was such a sweet dog but she sure could drag me down the block!

Oh, dearest Anne, how in the world have I missed this precious card!? I absolutely love this Saint Bernard and can't imagine having a dog that large! But oh, they sure are sweet as ever - but never as sweet as you are! Hugs, sweet friend!

This is very cute - and the little dog looks so cuddly - he also looks like he has sniffed the contents of his little barrel by the look on his face. Never mind - he is happy and content. Love all the fresh white in the background and the red heart. Gorgeous.
