I wanted a fresh look, and was drawn to these colors. (Ralph Lauren brand California Poppy GH170 & Manila GH154) They were the only ones that my husband and I agreed on, and they really brighten up the room! The new flooring helps, too! It's just *hot* without window treatments right now!
Ribbon holder is Rubbermaid 18 in W 4 tier door/wall rack - Item # 62418. It was 12.50 at my Home Depot. We cut it in half so that it would fit under the shelving. Beate has the twin.
I did add 4x? pieces of matboard to keep the ribbons from sneaking through the slats. It was not needed, but looks much better with them all level.
Here's a before shot: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers - there are more in my gallery if you want to see just what kind of a hoarder/packrat I am!

HOW did I not see this before!!!? This is BEAUTIFUL! I'm saving it in my favorites so that if DH and I ever get a house I can print out your pictures and give them to our builder!
Until then... it looks like we'll have to draw up a visitation schedule for us SCS ladies... I'm sure we'll have you booked up for overnights for the next 6 or 7 years!

After 11 years as a demo, guess I'm not so"new" anymore!
