I wanted a fresh look, and was drawn to these colors. (Ralph Lauren brand California Poppy GH170 & Manila GH154) They were the only ones that my husband and I agreed on, and they really brighten up the room! The new flooring helps, too! It's just *hot* without window treatments right now!
Ribbon holder is Rubbermaid 18 in W 4 tier door/wall rack - Item # 62418. It was 12.50 at my Home Depot. We cut it in half so that it would fit under the shelving. Beate has the twin.
I did add 4x? pieces of matboard to keep the ribbons from sneaking through the slats. It was not needed, but looks much better with them all level.
Here's a before shot: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers - there are more in my gallery if you want to see just what kind of a hoarder/packrat I am!

Oh my goodness -- what a *to die for* room -- love the colors but that WINDOW -- oh my -- to have that much light -- I'd be in heaven!!! We have an old, very old, farmhouse. It does have a new addition with a basement and my stamp room is in the basement -- I have good lights -- but that window -- oh my!!! Lucky girl you are!!!
