Pam is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some pretty, soft spring colors this week: So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Cucumber Crush. The dessert option is Spring Flowers.
I treated myself to a set of the new Distress Oxide inks, and pulled out the ones closest to this week's colors. I watched a ton of videos, and then grabbed a piece of Mixed Media cardstock and jumped in. Wow! That was easy and fun, and I am very pleased with how the background panel came out.
I stamped the flowers on Very Vanilla cardstock. First layer, So Saffron. Second layer Peekaboo Peach, stamped off one time. Third layer, Peekaboo Peach, full strength. The centers are stamped in black ink, and dotted with a white gel pen. I bravely stamped the stems and bud directy onto the Oxide panel, then the greeting in black. I fussy-cut the blooms and shaped them a bit, and popped up with Dimensionals. Die cut the frames, popped the main panel up with foam tape.

I didn't think I liked these colors together, but you have made them look beautiful the way you used them. Now I also have to go explore Oxide inks after seeing this background! I'm like Sue, have not seen anything about these before!

The way you have used these inks is amazing and the colours are just fab, it looks a little busy for a truly CAS design, but it's a fab card!
Thanks for joining in the fun at HLS CAS challenge this time!
