Vicki is our hostess this week and she has chosen tempting turquoise, real red, and emerald envy. For dessert: a bird! For the part of my card when I was watercoloring, I subbed Zig marker colors as close to the colors as I could.
On a separate piece of watercolor cs, I created a watercolor wash with turquoise reinker and with a green Zig marker, and then splattered the panel with diluted white acrylic paint. Triple stamped the bird, and fussy cut. Die cut the branch, berries, and leaves - watercolored the berries and leaves and then sponged with real red and emerald envy. Stamped sentiment, and assembled with a black mat.

How splendid is this! I adore that watercolored background! The splattered white enlivens wonderfully. Gorgeous colouring on bird and branch. The sentiment works a charm with your image. Top drawer card Maura!

These colors are beautiful with your design!!! I love everything about it but I must say, the bg is killer!!! Just the right amount of wash, depth, "stars", and your sentiment stamped on top of it jumps off the page.
I love Altenew's stamp sets, and this is one of my favs. (In fact, I was going to use it this week. I can hold off a few days. wink wink).
