The featured stamper today is jamieruthp. I went through her gallery of beautiful cards and landed on this one to case: It Moose be Love! by jamieruthp at Splitcoaststampers
I changed her ground snow to sand and her falling snow to a star. Of course, her moose is now my shepherd and sheep. As you can see, I just used her design.
jamieruthp, I hope you enjoy your much deserved week as featured stamper.
I also wanted to play in the October Gallery Theme. This month's theme is: Bucket List. My interpretation is places you have visited or would love to visit. I would love to visit Bethlehem and I would also love to visit Jerusalem. This brought me to make the card representing THE STAR and shepherds watching their flock by night.
I just love this little shepherd boy and sheep. I wanted the light to shine down on them as it must have that night...so, that is how I colored it. I just created the sky and sand with a Copic marker.
I wish I knew the name of the stamp for the shepherd boy and sheep. I have had it for a long time and the only paper I had with it said The Greeting Farm. I stamped it, colored, cut out, and popped up with dimensionals. I have looked online for it and can't find it. If anyone knows the name, I would appreciate it so much if you let me know.
I made the rays with Winsor & Newton watercolour which is kind of a paste in a tube. I smeared it on with my fingers.

Oh my, there is SO MUCH detail in this card, wonderful! That star is AMAZING, and how you've created the light to shine down on the little shepherd and his lamb is fantastic. GREAT night sky! I love that star, wishing it was possible to know it's origin (stamp company)--if anyone knows this, I'd love to have that answer... Wonderful sentiment, what Christmas is all about!
This card certainly was a wonderful choice for Favorites of the Week, congratulations, Brenda!!! What a true blessing to see this card!

Benz, this is so adorable. I love how you made the rays shine down on him. And, I see there is a lamb! Love your technique. I miss seeing all your cards. I just don't have much time on line any more. I am still admiring the beautiful large flower you made on my birthday card. I also have your card with the little bird nest, your Hello card and the 1st card you sent me with the birdie legs. They sit at my computer. So, I am thinking of you!

Hi Brenda. I am so sorry I missed this yesterday. OMGosh, when looked at the gallery, your card was the only one I saw. This is just fantastic. Holy Smokes, look at that adorable image and sky. This is just awesome. You hit this one right out of the park. Thanks for the link, too.
