This is a triple challenge today. I made this fishy scene for the teapot tuesday challenge 107 and I used this for the versamark challenge on ways to use it 284.
I brayered the background with bashful blue, marina mist and not quite navy. Then I added plant life from pocket silhouettes using navy. I sponged against a ripped piece of paper with not quite navy to form the different levels behind the hook and fish. I colored the fish with watercolor pencil and an aqua painter then used versamark and ultra thick embossing enamel (UTEE) on the fish two times. I put the fish in the freezer for about 5 minutes and brought him out and cracked the utee. So I guess I have a cracked fish huh? LOL
I drew a fishing line and hook in and added the small tag punch with the greeting. I used silver cord for the fishing line and heated the embossing powder which acted like a glue to hold the cord. When the background was done, I used my versamark pad all over it. I then added UTEE. When you use one layer you get a bubbled affect which to me looked like the water. It gives it a cool droplet affect. That's it!

Can you believe this? Yikes, how amazingly fun and adorable. I would never in a million years thought of just UTEE'g once and letting it go. Perfectly darling card, Sue.

Isn't this just the best? I saw it IRL today and it's awesome. The bubble effect of the UTEE is amazing. I met Sue today and she taught me how to do the cracked glass tech. Loved it and had a great day.
