Now this girl has so many aliases I am not even going to try to name them all! I kind of like Russian Spy though. Anyhoo...we were to pick a card of hers to case that we might have a story to share. Well after much thought about which card to pick I landed on this one. Thoughts of Father - Faux Tile by Connie Jo9 at Splitcoaststampers Jo9
I have always loved this image. Somewhere in my childhood I have seen a car like this in our family. So it brought back wonderful memories of the men in my life...first and foremost my dad who was taken from me when I was only 21. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. So you see fathers are very precious to me. When shopping or just doing errands ,walking in the park, whatever...whenever I see a dad with his children I think to myself...I hope they know what they have is golden. This also represents my dh as a father...who I love more every day. So Connie Jo! Congrats to you my dear friend! You brought back some wonderful memories today...they are what keeps me going. And no one deserves the crown more...you are not only talented but one of the sweetest gals on SCS. So wear it proudly! I may have to do another card....as you probably don`t want this masculine one!! But I just had to choose it today. Hugs! Judi For more info on the making of my card it will be blogged shortly. I am sorry for such a long post to those of you who took the time to read it all...I thank and appreciate you!!
Have a fabulous day!

I know what you mean Judi about father's. My daugthers dad died when they were in their early twenties. I know they miss him everyday. He has been gone for 16 years but they still want to pick up the phone to wish him HB or HF day. Or just to tell him something about their everyday lives. So thank you for sharing your sweet story. Your card is a wonderful tribute to Fathers and to Connie Jo. TFS
Hugs Linda

What a sentimental bauty of a card - and a story!! I love the old car just sitting there in the tall grasses, and how you used your distress inks on the textured paper for the layers. Great card, have to save it to my favs for sure!!

Oh Judi Rose (just love that name!!), thank you for honoring me with one of your beautiful cards. I love your cards and feel blessed that you played along on my special day. Your card is simply outstanding. I am such a huge fan of your gallery and am so sad that I do not give it as much time as I would like to. Your beautiful coloring and eye for details always end up making a beautiful piece of art. Thank you so much for contributing to making this a very special day for me. I love your cards but treasure your friendship.
hugs,
