Woo-hoo! I was so excited to see my sweet and sassy buddy, jdmommy (Anne), chosen as today's featured stamper! Does this woman love red or what? I think I've become a huge fan of red as a result of Anne's spectacular use of it in her beautiful creations.
I chose Anne's Octagon Butterflies because I've been wanting to try my hand at this stained glass coloring.
Although Anne's doesn't have any red in it, mine does in her honor.
Things I changed:
1. stamps
2. colors
3. sentiment panel instead of ribbon
Obviously, my stamped image is much larger than hers that she put into an octagon. I used my Copic markers to color this image, but I'm going to also try some different coloring mediums with this image.
In case you can't read the sentiment, it is one of my favorite quotes by Henry David Thoreau:
"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined."
Doesn't a quote like this inspire and motivate you?
CONGRATULATIONS, Anne!

Charlene, this is incredible! Your coloring is spot on to make this stained glass creation look real. What a wonderful tribute to Anne and fabulous eye candy for all of us.
Early birthday wishes this week. I fear your card may be late.

Wow, Charlene, have you ever done justice to this RN image! Just look at that fabulous coloring which is so bright and bold. What a statement card this just happens to be.

Charlene! Wow seems so small right now, but that is what I said! (I know Bertie woulda said Holy Schmokes! and I feel that way too!) Your shading in the sun rays and the water is incredible. Gorgeous sistah! See ya Tuesday! Hugs....

How much did you pay someone to stand behind this card and shine the sun through your stained glass? Whatever it was, it's worth it. This card is simply gorgeous....you did really, really good! Love it Bertie!
