Hi! This Treat Purse/Tote was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge. You can find directions here. I used double sided designer paper for my base.
I have several kinds of lilies in my garden. My Day Lilies bloom all summer. They are my garden's staple. However, when the Bottle Brush Trees and the Tiger Lilies bloom, it's just FABULOUS! The bright, deep colors of the lilies are just breath taking, and I look forward to the spectacular burst of color every year.
I often cut a dozen or so for my mom. However, this year, with her illness, she can not have REAL flowers in her home. I decided a Treat Tote would be a good idea, since Dad will get the treats and Mother will keep the tote! LOL!
The image was stamped on watercolor paper and white. I colored the image with markers and used an aqua painter to blend. Then, I cut out both images and used a spritzer and black marker to make the "spots". Hmmm...Spots on a Tiger Lily...Shouldn't they be called Leopard Lilies? LOL!
The leaves are a Sizzix die. The handles are a Cuttlebug die.

Faith, I'm sure both your Mom and Dad will love this gorgeous little purse. I too love lillies, alas I only get them in the Spring and Summer. I love the rich coloring on your Lilie, the die cut flourish on the handle and the oh so nice sentiment.
P.S. I will be there at your wonderful retreat in my dreams and maybe next year I can attend in person. I hope that it is a great success and that everyone learns lots of new stuff and have lots of fun doing it. LOL
